Oh BOY have I got something fabulous today!!
I’m not the only person blown away by the amazing art work Fiona Fu achieved for the cover of Dominus, the first book in J P Kenwood’s amazing Roman set historical series, and I’ve been almost as eager to see the cover of the sequel as I am to read the book itself. Just as a reminder, here’s the cover of Dominus:
So much amazing detail. Please click to continue.
The new book, Games of Rome, will be with us soon and Fiona has done, I think, an even more complex and meaningful job with the cover. So – drumroll please …..
Games of Rome will be available later this year
Blurb:
In this sequel to Dominus, Gaius Fabius Rufus, the victorious general of Rome’s brutal Dacian Wars, finds his loyalties and his affections pulled in different directions. Should he return to Rome and secure his claim to the imperial throne, or remain at his seaside villa and protect his pleasure slave, the fierce Dacian prince, Allerix? Retaliation for the murder of his beloved friend beckons him home, but his desire for justice could put both him and Allerix in mortal danger. As Gaius’s deceptions multiply, another tragedy strikes. Will the Lion of the Lucky IV Legion be forced to sacrifice his besotted heart to achieve his aspirations for supreme power?
Every moment since Allerix’s violent capture has tested the young prince’s fortitude and cunning. If he can kill the triumphant emperor who decimated his Dacian nation, revenge and immortality will be his glorious, everlasting rewards. But to realize his scheme for vengeance, he must deceive the Roman master whose body he lusts, the handsome, arrogant man whom he has grown to adore and admire. Can two former enemies—the conqueror and the conquered—find trust and true love, or are the consequences of war destined to tear them apart? Can Gaius and Allerix survive the perilous games of Rome?
Dominus is a plot-packed erotic m/m fantasy set in ancient Rome during the reign of Emperor Trajan (AD 98-117). Games of Rome is the second book in this alternative history saga—a tumultuous journey of forbidden love, humor, sex, friendship, political intrigue, deception, and murder.
JP Kenwood author bio:
When she doesn’t have her nose stuck in a dusty history tome, JP Kenwood relishes reading and writing plot-packed erotic m/m fiction with strong romantic elements sprinkled with humor and angst. Her alternate history series, Dominus, features an ensemble of memorable characters—masters and slaves, senators and soldiers, lawyers and freedmen, wives and whores—who live, laugh, and lust during the Golden Age of imperial Rome. The second book of this series, Games of Rome, follows our auburn-haired protagonist, Gaius Fabius, and his Dacian captive turned pleasure slave, Allerix, as they struggle to overcome heartache and hatred while searching for justice, vengeance and love. Her fiction works to date include Dominus: Fragmentum 1 February (2013), Dominus (2014), “Bashir,” in the Kickass Anthology (2014), and now Games of Rome (2015). She adores offering readers free short stories tied to the Dominus universe; Dominus: Fragmentum 2 December will be available before the end of 2015. JP spends most days writing fiction and non-fiction, researching historical curiosities, traveling the world, cooking gourmet fare for her handsome husband, and relaxing with a good glass of wine, or two.

Beautiful cover and the detail is amazing. Such a refreshing change from bare chested, headless characters which I detest with a passion. ☺️
What a stunning cover–perfect for the story’s setting!
