Elin Gregory lives in South Wales and works in a museum in a castle built on the edge of a Roman fort! She reckons that’s a pretty cool job. It certainly provides more than enough inspiration for her writing.
“The button from a military jacket found in an orchard, a 16th century Venetian coin found between the cobbles of a Welsh street, a carnelian from a Roman signet ring – one can’t handle them without wondering who lost them, how much they regretted it and what kind of disaster was sparked off by the loss.”
Although Elin usually writes on historical subjects, she has also written contemporary and historical paranormals, science fiction, crime and a Western, none of which have, as yet, been published. She likes her heroes hard as nails but capable of tenderness when circumstances allow.
Elin’s first published stories appeared in the British Flash and Tea and Crumpet anthologies produced by the UK Meet team. Her historical novella, Alike As Two Bees, and her first novel, On A Lee Shore, were published in 2012. Elin still can’t quite believe it. However, there are always new works on the go and she is currently editing a novel about the British Secret Service between the two World Wars, finishing one set in 6th century AD England and contemplating one set during the Second World War.

Hi, Elin, I’m tagging you in the “Next Big Thing Tour” in a post on 12/26. The tour is designed to post on Wednesdays, and I know this is a heck of a time of year for it. So please don’t feel obligated to do up a post for 1/3/13! If you’re interested, I can send you the questions so you have time to prepare. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
I’ve got the questions, babe. 🙂 as I’ve done it before. I might have to use a WIP that is WY down my “to be written” list. This business of tagging 5 authors means we all get multiple shots at it. I’ll spread my net in a place that doesn’t usually get many meme offers. Thanks and happy Christmas to you.
Hi Elin, thanks for following my blog, The Hazel Tree. Great to ‘meet’ a historical author! Kind regards, Jo
I’m doing the A to Z challenge too and have been visiting fellow participants who had to self-identify as Adult Content blogs to offer solidarity. See you around A to Z in April! 🙂
Nice to meet you 🙂 I’ll visit you in April.
Hi Elin,
I just wanted to leave you a short message to thank you so much for sponsoring my book, “Black and Blue Love,” on its blog tour in March. If you have any questions about the book or about my writing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me, and I will get the answers to you promptly. Again, thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Judy Folger
