Friday Interviews-Jonathan Hopkins author of Walls of Jericho and Leopardkill.
John Hopkins is THE man for information on period saddlery and Napoleonic War cavalry! He also once delivered flowers to his wife dressed as a Regency hussar. Who says romance is dead?
Now that looks like something worth investigating. Thanks for the link.
His blog is worth following. His own posts are infrequent but he has terrific links. I just wish his work was available somewhere other than Amazon! Reading on my PC gives me a headache.
Ack. I hadn’t seen that detail yet. I’ve been really try to avoid Amazon-only stuff.
I wonder if Amazon-only authors are aware of the sales they are missing out on? Or maybe the inconvenience of having to upload a different format outweighs that?
This week I bought a title written by one of my future guests only to find that it’s in some weird locked format that means I can only open it with Adobe Digital Editions, which is HORRIBLE to read on, and there doesn’t seem to be any way i can convert it into a format that will work on my ereader. most disappointing.
My Sony copes with DRM-locked ePubs fine, but I share your frustration, having had to use Digital Editions on my PC for those before.
The Sony software that comes with the eReader makes skimming that format on the PC easier, for when I’m writing reviews, but I wouldn’t want to read a whole book that way.
Just found that John Hopkins has put Leopardkill on smashwords so I can get an epub. 🙂
