Our lovely flat coat died suddenly in June, devastating all of us. This weekend we decided that we had been without a dog long enough and yesterday Wilfred came to join us.
He’s 9 weeks old, about the same size as a fully grown Jack Russell and his fur is silky soft. Look at those paws!!
Elin he’s gorgeous! And what a beautiful name. xxx
🙂 he’s so CUDDLY. A little bit inclined to chew things, like sofas, but he’ll grow out of that.
He is absolutely beautiful. I hope you have many, many happy years with him. Welcome little Wilfred. 😃😘
That is going to be a HUGE dog. 🙂
He is. I like big dogs. But at the moment he’s like a little fuzzy bear. 🙂
Oh, he’s wonderful, Elin. We lost both of our old, big dogs a year ago last June. We still have a beagle. Your Wilfred makes me want to add another big guy. Look at those beautiful eyes. 🙂
Beagles are lovely too. l like big dogs. Not so easy to trip over.
beautiful dog. when he stands on hind legs he will tower over me 😀
Our last dog was just about eye level with me when he stood like that. Not sure if this one will be as big. I’m enjoying the puppyness of him – the blissful expression on his face during tummy rubs.
Awwww. I’m so sorry for the loss of your old friend, but what a cutie Wilfred is! He reminds me of Boone (my 1/2 Newf/1/2 Golden rescue) as well as Kaiser, the first Newfie who ever owned me. Such a face! Enjoy him.
Newfies provided 50% of the genes to make up flat coats. I think the breeders wanted a good swimmer. He’s very good fun, very bouncy, and is in awe of the cats!
He’s so cute!
Hope you got back from the Meet okay.
Looooong journey with lots of waits but no rushing so stressless. But I’m still so sleepy. I reckon it will take a few days for my ears to stop ringing. 🙂
Wilf was very pleased to see. We had loads of cuddles last night.
What an adorable face. He reminds me of the Paddington, Newf/lab cross my family had while I was in high school.
Flat coats are half Newfie, somewhere in their breeding. It really shows when they are babies but later they look a bit more like setters. They are super dogs – great fun.
Oh, he is so adorable! Enjoy the new pup!
Oh, he’s beautiful 😀 Sorry for your loss, though 😦 We lost our lovely Florence this LOUSY summer (little black and white cat) and are missing her dreadfully. Mum and dad have just this week given a home to a new rescue cat, though – can’t wait to cuddle her.
*cuddles Wilfred* 😀 😀 😀
